What do you think about poetry? What kinds of poetry do you think you like?
I think I've always loved the symmetric feel that poetry often brought tot me as a kid. There was always something about poems that made me so allured as to wanting to read them and write them as well; they bring out a side to reality that even a book can't bring out. I think what fascinates me the most about poetry is that it paints such a vivid place where thoughts flow, which I think even a fantasy book can not paint. It portrays reality and everything between success, failure and love that it makes it so easy to explore different perspectives on various ideas. It also gives way to many different interpretations, which I think is amazing; it just goes to show that any way of thinking you choose can be the right way, as long as you're confident about it. To me, poetry that is both simplistic and complex are beautiful to me. Simple poems that convey the most complicated things in such short lines is what I believe to be talent: it's amazing. However, I also enjoy poems with symbolism because they allow the mind to go to certain directions of thoughts it probably would have never gone without it; whether someone understands it or not, everyone can interpret it and enjoy the beautiful dialect of the poem.
